Unearthed: The Power of Gardening

Gardening is so much more than the nation’s favourite pastime. Inspired by the British Library’s Unearthed: The Power of Gardening exhibition, libraries across the UK will host a free panel display to explore the transformative power of gardening to tie in with Green Libraries Week, and beyond.

Dig in to gardening content

Discover even more Unearthed events, reading lists, and activities through the British Library’s Living Knowledge Network — a nationwide partnership connecting libraries, museums, and cultural institutions to share ideas and celebrate creativity inspired by nature.

Resources for blind visitors

A Braille guide with tactile images and a large print guide is also available for those who need them to make the most out of the Unearthed panels.

Visitors can also listen to audio clips through the Museum in a Box, which you can find alongside panels. Pop an object on the box and unlock sounds and recordings related to Unearthed. Instructions on how to use the Museum in a Box can be found in libraries, or just ask a member of staff.

An audio guide is also available
